I like the picture you put on your profile. 我很喜欢你摆在人物素描上的照片

            You look so happy. 你看起来好开心

Well, that picture was taken when I was on my vacation a few months ago.

            原来是你几个月前度假时拍的  You must have had a wonderful time.

Yes I did.  Judy and I took many pictures.  I put many of them ae on my Facebook.

原来你和妻子度假时照了很多照片。很多都刊登了出来，我可要上网去好好瞧瞧

We can send messages to each other.

We can find out what’s going on in each other’s lives.

            可以知道彼此生活里的大小消息了  I wonder, is that a good thing or bad?

 

Popular Trend  流行趋势   Making new friends while connecting with old friends.   结交新朋友，同时和旧朋友保持联系 Many people are finding reasons to stay online longer.   许多人更有理由花时间在网上 Social networking is one of the most popular trends on the internet today.   社交网是现今最流行的趋势之一 Are you in?   你是否赶上潮流了呢？

 

Cheung Yun, I think Facebook is really cool.

马可大哥你认为Facebook 真的是很正的东西.  Tell me what you like most about Facebook? 可以告诉我, Facebook那些东西令你最喜欢呀?

It is the exchange and sharing that I like the most. 

你说你最喜欢Facebook的,是其中那些交换和分享. So you mean sharing the pictures? 即是分享照片?

Not only sharing pictures, but a lot of other things.  For example, my wife likes to share recipe with friends, I would share tips of fixing things with my buddies.

你说 除了分享照片外,还可以分享其它东西. 例如你太太喜欢和朋友在Facebook分享食谱, 而你就喜欢和一些老友记在Facebook上分享修理东西的小秘诀.

In addition to all that, I also like to talk about a TV show or even book that I read.

还有,你也喜欢在看完某个电视节目,或读完一本书,在Facebook上分享你的感想.

And my buddies also share their thoughts with me.

同样,你的老友记们也和你分享他们的感想. I can tell that you are really enjoy Facebook.

No, I haven’t sent him an invitation yet.

            你竟还没邀请Josh成为他Facebook上的朋友  How dare you?

Well, I see him everyday at work.

因为你认为你每天在录音室里都跟Josh一起工作了     

And, I am guessing that he already has over a thousand friends.

            也因为可能Josh已经有上千个朋友了  That may be true.

Let’s see, 2 friend requests, 3 invitations to parties, and looks like Jessica just added 20 pictures.  Maybe you have face book.  Maybe you’re like me and you like to check and see how your friends are doing, see if anyone has great ideas for the weekend, or wait for those funny pictures to be posted.  Could you imagine your life without Face book?  Almost makes you wonder how we survive without it.

让我看看，有两位邀请我作他们的朋友，有三个party的邀请，还有我的朋友Jessica刚放上了20张新的照片。可能你也有Facebook. 可能你和我一样，喜欢查看你的朋友们日子过得如何，看看有人有什么好主意来过这个周末，又或者等着看朋友刊登出来哪些滑稽的照片。你能够想象你的生活没有Facebook吗？那我们要怎么生活下去呢？

Face book is a cool way to meet new people and have an easy way to communicate with them.  You can have profiles with Face book, and share every thought you are thinking with the whole world.  Crazy! 

            Facebook是个好方法来认识新朋友，也很容易和他们沟通。你能够在Facebook上有自己人物素描，也可以和全世界的人分享你有的每一个想法。太疯狂了。

Do we need to really know what everyone is doing every minute of the day?  I certainly don’t need to hear someone’s life story on face book!  But since they’re sharing it we might as well read it, right?   It seems like no one has privacy any more! 

我们需要知道每个人每分钟在作什么吗？我才不要听每个人写在Facebook上的他们的一生。但既然他们分享出来，我们何不就读读，对吧？好像没有人有任何的私隐了。          

You can also post pictures of you and your friends all over your face book page.  I love looking at pictures, especially hilarious photos from a great weekend, or pictures up from years ago because people don’t want to show how old they really are!  Ouch!

            你能够把你和你朋友的照片刊登在你的Facebook上。我喜欢看照片，特别是一个很好坃的周末拍下来的欢乐照片，或是多年前的旧照片，因为有人不想要让人知道他们的真实年记! 啊,唔好意思!

I used to think the coolest invention was those hand driers in bathrooms, but now I think it may be face book.  I love it because I don’t have to talk to that many people on the phone anymore.  On top of that, I can check up on relatives I haven’t seen in a long time, and I can plan my weekends all with a click of a button.  Now that’s awesome! 

            我向来认为最劲的发明，是洗手间里面把手吹干的吹风机。但现在我认为是Facebook. 我喜爱Facebook因为我再也不需要跟那么多人打电话了。再加上，我能够找到久久不见的亲戚，了解他们的现况，而且我能用指头简单的按一个键，整个周末的活动计划就出来了。这，能叫人不惊叹吗！

As far as I know, Facebook is ranked as the most used social networks.

With over 200 million users around the world.

Listener friends, making friends on the internet is cool.

            网络上交友很有意思

But often friendships on internet can be shallow and not very deep.

But there is a friendship that’s more real and true.

It’s the fellowship of believers around the world.

            那是与世界各地的信徒相交

John in the New Testament (part of the Bible) tells us about it.

Wow!  Believers of Jesus Christ are in this big social network.

            哇！所有基督耶稣的信徒都在这个大的社交网里

You can connect with other believers no matter where you are.

            无论你在那儿，你都可以和其它的信徒相连

And there is a genuine love and care in this fellowship.

            在这个团契里，有真实的爱和关怀

Because each person has experienced God’s mercy and love.

            因为每个人都曾体验了神的怜悯和慈爱
