Today our topic is Hope.

The word “hope” can be seen everywhere.

Hope”希望这两个字随处可见。

For example, there’s Hope college, Hope town, Voice of Hope radio broadcast.

                It is a government funded project to help poor children get an education.

That is a wonderful thing. I am sure this project brings hope to many needy children.

For example, I hope he will get married soon.

To expect is to look forward to something that ought to or will happen.

                To expect 是期待一些预料之中的事情会发生。

For example, He is expected to go to university this fall.

To wish is to desire for something.

                To wish 是心中切切盼望得到某些东西或事情。

For example, do you wish to become an actress?

Among these three, to hope is the most often used word.

Living in this life, we always encounter suffering and trouble.

There are natural disasters like earthquakes and floods.

We see people who have incurable diseases.
